The Big Easy has come back to a great degree but you can still see signs of Katrina throughout the city in empty houses, deserted properties, and the occasional spray painted circle on the side of houses.
Pam, my wife, and co-conspiritor interviewed people while I ran the camera in a haze of liquor and fried chicken from Fornellis on Royal Street. We got our morning coffee at the almost empty, Cafe Du Monde in a deserted French Quarter.
This natural and man-made disaster profoundly changed New Orleans. Two of the subjects interviewed are now deceased.
